Bakeri Baltzersen is the recently established wholesale and retail bakery operation that is part of Baltzersen’s, and is based 7km outside Harrogate at Springfield Farm on the A59 near Menwith Hill. We bake a range of long fermented sourdough loaves, rye, ciabatta and more traditional yeasted white and granary style loaves/rolls. We also bake pastry and vienoisserie from scratch.
We are looking for drivers to support our existing delivery team.
Days: We have days available Mon - Fri which could be worked by one driver or be split between a couple of drivers as required.
Typical Hours: 4.30am - 9am
Location: This round is delivering in the Harrogate area including our shop and cafe before heading out to Spofforth and Wetherby. Familiarisation with the area is a plus.
Duties will include:
Packing your van
Driving and delivering to our partners.
Cleaning and unloading vans post-delivery run.
Other relevant duties as required by the bakery manager.
Early Start Early Finish
Baking is a process that happens overnight so we can get bread and pastries to our partners and customers as fresh as they can be. You need to be the type of person that can be relied upon to get into work - sleeping through your alarm is not an option.
We have a range of vans all under 3 years old that are a pleasure to drive and most of the deliveries are complete before traffic starts getting busy. We are looking for drivers with clean licences, experience in a delivery role is not required.
The location of the bakery and the times of the shifts mean that you need to have your own transport to get you to and from the bakery. Public transport is not an option.
The basic rate for this role is £11.20/hr.
We also pay an additional £3.00/hr as an 'Unsocial Hours' top up rate between Midnight and 6am sou you would be eligible for this during the first hour and a half on shift.
